Role Overview

A Style Consultant at Target is passionate about operations and providing excellent guest experiences, bringing style to life through engaging in-store presentations. They assist guests on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, ensuring the floor is stocked, accurately priced, and well-signed with the right sizes, styles, and colors in areas including Apparel, Accessories, Home, and Baby.

Skills and Experience

• Interest and knowledge in apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other store technology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions promptly.

Typical Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a welcoming environment.
• Assist guests based on body language and verbal cues.
• Use store tools to understand sales metrics, inventory, and guest traffic.
• Replenish and organize the sales floor for a guest-ready environment.
• Implement visual standards and merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain fitting rooms and provide personalized recommendations.
• Stay knowledgeable about products, services, and store tools.
• Prioritize guest interaction while completing tasks efficiently.
• Support product transitions, remerchandising, and signage updates.
• Own designated areas to ensure they are in stock, zoned, and signed correctly.
• Assist with backroom organization and replenishment.
• Engage with guests to enhance their shopping experience.
• Practice safety, ethics, and compliance at all times.
• Support additional guest services like checkout, order pickup, and Drive-up.
