At Target Group, we’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and revenue analysis.

The role

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll be part of the Finance support team, helping to produce month-end materials and supporting our forecasting and budgeting processes.

Your initial focus will be on revenue generation, including completing key revenue processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing insight to business partners and senior stakeholders.

Whether you are qualified, newly qualified, part-qualified or looking to begin a professional accountancy qualification, we can support your development.

For candidates studying towards a qualification, the role may form part of a Training Contract, supported by colleagues in Finance and our Learning and Development team.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Preparing month-end materials including work in progress, unbilled revenue and revenue accruals.
  • Completing key month-end processes relating to the recording of revenue.
  • Working with Accounts Receivable teams to deliver accurate month-end actuals performance.
  • Providing modelling and analysis on revenue forecasts, feeding insight into Finance Business Partners and the Head of Commercial Finance.
  • Supporting key reporting and forecasting of revenue performance.
  • Completing project reporting for revenue recognition to ensure revenue is recorded correctly and compliantly.
  • Working with the FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis.
  • Ensuring financial models continue to meet the needs of stakeholders including Ex Co, the Board, Finance, Operations, Change and Programme Delivery teams.
  • Developing and adhering to standardised techniques, assumptions and operating metrics agreed with the wider business.
  • Supporting commercially sustainable processes and procedures for new initiatives and areas launched.

About you

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and improving the way things are done.

You’ll be confident working in a dynamic environment and keen to understand the commercial drivers, operating model and metrics behind business performance.

  • What we’re looking for
  • Qualified, newly qualified, part-qualified or looking to begin a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A desire to develop financial modelling skills and broader industry knowledge.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Change, Commercial and Programme Delivery teams.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, management accounting, financial services or outsourcing would be advantage
