We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead our marketing function at a pivotal time of business growth and diversification. This role will not only own the development and delivery of our marketing strategy but will also guide, support, and line-manage the Marketing Executive.

Reporting to the Director of Client Solutions, the ideal candidate will bring fresh thinking, strong digital and content expertise, and the confidence to shape a modern marketing approach that elevates brand visibility and drives meaningful engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Work closely with the Director of Client Solutions to create, implement, and maintain a cohesive marketing strategy that increases brand recognition and market reach.
  • Ensure content produced by the marketing team is engaging, relevant, and aligned with audience needs.
  • Track, measure, and analyse social media performance, engagement metrics, and website analytics to inform ongoing improvements.
  • Lead the marketing elements of business diversification initiatives, including identifying innovative marketing opportunities, channels, and approaches.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed to a high standard, from concept to delivery.

Marketing Delivery (Hands-On Responsibilities)

  • Develop and produce high-quality content across digital channels, including social media, email marketing, external newsletters, and campaign materials.
  • Oversee brand consistency across all visual and written outputs.
  • Support the development of the new website by guiding structure, messaging, and content creation.
  • Conduct market research into customer behaviour, industry trends, and competitor activity to support informed business decisions.
  • Manage external suppliers as needed (designers, agencies, freelancers, contractors).
  • Project-managing events and exhibitions throughout the calendar year.

Marketing Team Leadership

  • Line-manage the Marketing Executive, providing day-to-day support, coaching, and development.
  • Create a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture.
  • Set clear team goals and department KPIs that align with organisational objectives.
  • Lead performance development plans and appraisals for the Marketing Executive.
  • Set and monitor personal objectives.
  • Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and ownership within the team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a marketing management role, ideally in a growing or evolving business.
  • Strong hands-on marketing skills across social media, content creation, digital marketing, and campaign delivery.
  • Confident in analysing data and using insights to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills written, visual, and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and project-management capability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Creative mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others is essential.
