Target Housing is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. Over the past 30 years we have shown that stable accommodation and support can help transform lives and empower people to achieve independence. We have grown from small beginnings to become a complex charitable company and RSL, owning over 150 properties and leasing many more.

We proudly serve diverse communities in South Yorkshire, Humberside and the East Midlands. We provide housing solutions for some of the most vulnerable people in our society, often the people who would not be able to maintain a tenancy in any other way.

We focus on people with complex needs, including people who are homeless, those with mental illness, learning difficulties and asylum seekers. We also provide services and support for people in our communities suffering from Domestic Abuse.

Joining our board will give you an amazing opportunity to help the most vulnerable in our society thrive and live their lives with dignity. You would be joining a fantastic team of people who truly care and want to be the difference, doing things that put tenants at the heart of all we do, however complicated their needs are.

We are looking for a new Treasurer to strengthen and diversify the skills and experience of our Board. So if you are an experienced, qualified charity accountant or auditor looking for a new challenge, and are committed to helping vulnerable people move on in their lives, we\’d like to hear from you.

The role of Treasurer requires some liaison with the CEO and FD in between Board meetings, and attendance at yearly external audit meetings.

Our trustees meet around 6 times a year 4.00pm till 6.00pm, in Rotherham, plus occasional half day planning meetings.
