At Target Maintenance, we provide property and facility maintenance, as well as fire safety solutions, to commercial and property management clients across the South of England and the Midlands. We are proud to be recognised for our reliable and personable service - and our Estimating Team plays a crucial role in maintaining that reputation. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our estimating team and seeking an Estimator to help us deliver accurate, timely, and competitive quotes to our clients.
As an Estimator, you will attend client sites, gather key information, and prepare quotes for maintenance works and small-to-medium refurbishment projects. You will take the lead on delivering efficient, high-quality pricing that helps secure work and ensures our service remains responsive. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring someone with a proactive mindset, strong initiative, and deep experience in quoting for maintenance-related work.
Key Responsibilities:- Visit client properties to inspect works required and take basic measurements
- Assess and record reactive and planned maintenance requirements
- Assist in preparing quotations for maintenance works
- Accurately record site notes, measurements, and photos in the company CRM system
- Support the estimating and admin teams with pricing information and job details
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams following site visits
- Assist with larger or more complex estimates under guidance from senior staff
- Work independently on the road while representing the company professionally
- Proven experience in estimating, quoting, or surveying within maintenance or related trades
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and stay organised in a busy environment
- A flexible, pragmatic problem-solver with good common sense
- Full and clean UK driving licence (we will ask for your DVLA code to check for points)
- Competitive salary - Based on experience
- 23 days holiday + Bank holidays
- Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (field days up to 10 hours door-to-door)
- Based in Silsoe with regular travel across the region
- Office & field based
