At Target Housing, we've been transforming lives through housing and support for over 30 years. As a charity and registered social landlord, we provide trauma-informed services that help people overcome challenges, sustain tenancies, and achieve greater independence.
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality supported housing services for vulnerable adults across South Yorkshire. You will lead a frontline team, ensuring safe, person-centred support that helps residents sustain tenancies, reduce risk, and achieve greater independence. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and develop a frontline housing/support team through supervision, coaching and performance management
- Ensure safe, high-quality delivery of housing management and support services
- Oversee referrals, allocations and occupancy to ensure appropriate placements
- Manage safeguarding, risk and compliance in line with policy and best practice
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, landlords and key agencies
- Respond to complaints, incidents and service issues, driving improvements where needed
- Maintain accurate records, reporting and data quality across systems
- Support service monitoring, audits and performance reporting
- Deputise for the Service Manager when required
About You: You will bring experience in supported housing, homelessness, social care or a similar setting, along with confidence in leading staff and managing service delivery.
Essential:
- Experience supervising or leading a team in a relevant sector
- Strong understanding of supported housing and tenancy sustainment
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and compliance
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage workload and priorities effectively
- Confident IT and record-keeping skills
- Full UK driving licence (if required for the service)
Desirable:
- Housing or social care qualification
- Experience working with commissioners or partner agencies
- Knowledge of quality assurance or service improvement
