Role: Target Housing is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead one of our supported housing services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established manager who enjoys leading people, driving service quality and developing teams.

The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Head of Operations, you will support service development, embed best practice and ensure the service continues to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the service.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Team Leaders and Support Workers.
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual requirements, organisational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor performance, quality and service outcomes, taking appropriate action where required.
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management and health and safety compliance.
  • Manage staffing, supervision, absence, performance and employee development.
  • Build effective relationships with commissioners, local authorities and partner agencies.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to organisational development.
  • Manage budgets and resources responsibly.
  • Produce accurate reports, maintain high standards of record keeping and maintain and deliver KPI’s.

Essential Criteria. Applicants must be able to demonstrate

  • Experience of managing teams within supported housing, homelessness, housing support or similar services.
  • Experience of leading staff through change and maintaining high levels of performance.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience of performance management, supervision and staff development.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of commissioned support services.
  • Experience of contract performance and KPI management.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
  • Previous experience within asylum or migrant support services.
