Housing Support Worker – AST Project Hull | Full-Time, Permanent | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

At Target Housing, we've been transforming lives through housing and support for over 30 years. As a charity and registered social landlord, we provide trauma-informed services that help people overcome challenges, sustain tenancies, and achieve greater independence.

About the Role:

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Worker to join our Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) Project in Hull. You'll manage a caseload of tenants across Hull, providing practical and emotional support to help them maintain their accommodation and build the skills needed for independent living. You'll support people with budgeting, benefits, tenancy management, goal setting, and accessing local services, while working closely with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred housing support and key working.
  • Develop and review support plans and risk assessments.
  • Support tenants to manage finances, benefits, and household responsibilities.
  • Help residents understand and meet their tenancy obligations.
  • Monitor tenancy sustainment, rent payments, and property standards.
  • Liaise with external agencies including probation, local authorities, and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development activities.

Essential:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship).
  • Experience or understanding of working with vulnerable people.
  • Knowledge of supported housing, tenancy sustainment, or housing support services.
  • Understanding of support planning, risk assessment, and welfare benefits.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
