Recovery Support Worker – 39 Hours Per Week

Location: DN4 5HZ

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £26,490.00 per annum

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals living with mental health needs to maintain their tenancies, build independence, and achieve their personal goals.

About the Role

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including health professionals, local authorities, and other agencies to provide person‑centred support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals to sustain or access suitable accommodation
  • Developing and delivering person‑centred support and recovery plans
  • Helping service users build confidence, independence, and life skills
  • Providing support with budgeting, bills, appointments, and daily living
  • Carrying out risk assessments and maintaining accurate recordsEncouraging positive wellbeing, including healthy lifestyles
  • Working collaboratively with external agencies and professionals
  • Supporting service users with tenancy responsibilities and managing conflict

People Specifications

  • Has experience in support work, housing, or mental health services
  • Understands risk assessment and support planning
  • Has knowledge of welfare benefits and relevant legislation
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Enhanced DBS check
