Role Summary

As an International Sales and Development Manager, your primary role is to understand and meet the needs of customers in the sale of pharmaceutical goods, maximising revenue and profit margins for the business while maintaining long-term customer and supplier relationships. Your role requires the highest degree of integrity, diligence, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales and Market Growth
  • Present, promote, and sell products to existing and prospective customers and suppliers, demonstrating advanced product knowledge.
  • Identify and develop new customer and supplier leads through market research, competitor analysis, and targeted outreach.
  • Collaborate with management to design and implement innovative marketing campaigns and strategies.

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Order and distribute pharmaceutical products in strict accordance with UK GDP regulations, company policies, and SOPs.
  • Support MHRA regulatory inspections and customer audits, ensuring full compliance with GDP standards across all warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate records in all IT systems to support regulatory obligations and internal reporting.

Customer and Supplier Relationship Management

  • Negotiate commercial terms with customers and suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Respond promptly to customer leads and inquiries, ensuring a professional and business-like approach.
  • Follow up on orders to confirm customer satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Resolve customer and supplier issues efficiently to maximise satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

Performance and Continuous Improvement

  • Achieve agreed sales revenue and margin targets in line with budget objectives.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments for optimal results.
  • Actively seek and apply feedback to continuously improve performance and processes.

Professional Conduct and Representation

  • Represent the company professionally at trade exhibitions, conferences, and other events as required.
  • Uphold company policies and statutory standards for health, safety, hygiene, and security at all times.
  • Maintain integrity in all dealings—never mislead customers to achieve sales.
  • Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment while following management direction when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous, proven Pharmaceuticals Sales experience within a regulated environment, ideally Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Food.
  • Good understanding of the considerations of GDP gained from previous work experience desirable.
  • High degree of accuracy, numeracy, and literacy, with excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Good communications skills
  • Proven Account Management experience
  • Multi-language skills desirable, but not essential
