We are looking for an experienced Commercial Director who can bring confidence, clarity and commercial edge to some of our most important client relationships. If you love variety, influence and the chance to shape how a business thinks commercially, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll be the commercial heartbeat for a range of business areas — advising, challenging, and guiding stakeholders through everything from bids and pricing to contract drafting, governance and risk.
- You’ll lead negotiations on high‑value IT and outsourcing contracts, working closely with our legal team to protect Target's commercial interests and unlock great outcomes for our clients.
- You’ll lead and inspire a small, capable team - supporting their development and helping shape how our function evolves.
More Specifically you will:
- Lead our commercial strategy, pricing discussions and complex negotiations.
- Draft and shape commercial agreements with customers and suppliers.
- Assess commercial risk and opportunity during bids and tender activity.
- Generate the commercial components of tender responses.
- Ensure the right commercial governance is applied every step of the way.
- Oversee contract management activities, including change control.
- Help resolve contractual disputes in a calm, solutions‑focused way.
- Continually improve our processes, templates and commercial toolkit.
