As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist or Chartered Architectural Technologist to play a key role in our future.
About the Role
This is a senior technical role for someone who enjoys taking ownership. We're looking for someone who can confidently lead projects from appointment through to completion, build trusted client relationships and make sound technical decisions without requiring constant direction. You'll work closely with the directors, who will remain involved in project strategy, technical reviews and key design decisions. Day to day, however, you'll have the autonomy to coordinate projects, manage clients and keep work moving forward with confidence. This isn't simply a drawing production role. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, taking responsibility and helping deliver high-quality projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead retrofit, refurbishment and architectural projects from appointment through to completion.
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, consultants and stakeholders.
- Produce and review high-quality technical design information using Revit.
- Prepare planning, Building Regulations and construction information packages.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and manage project programmes.
- Review technical information to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team.
- Work collaboratively with the directors on project strategy and technical reviews.
- Help improve our internal systems, standards and project delivery processes.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience independently leading architectural projects.
- Excellent Revit proficiency.
- Strong technical understanding of UK construction, detailing and Building Regulations.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to confidently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Sound technical judgement and the confidence to make informed decisions independently.
- Comfortable working remotely while remaining proactive, accountable and collaborative.
Desirable
- Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) or working towards chartership.
- Experience delivering retrofit, refurbishment or energy efficiency projects.
- PAS 2035 knowledge or experience.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- A genuine interest in sustainable design and improving the performance of existing buildings.
