We run junior summer courses for English language students aged between 9 - 18. We have students from all over the world, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Cyprus. Students usually stay for two weeks and take part in a mixed programme of lessons and activities/excursions run by Activity Leaders.
Our Mission: At Target English International, we aim to provide our students with a comfortable and caring setting in the UK to improve their communication in English and develop skills for a more global society. We want our students to leave the course with a better understanding of UK culture and the inspiration to become life-long learners of English.
Overview of role:
- Line Manager: Centre Manager/Academic Manager
- Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay
- Dates: June to August
- Hours: As required (typically 48 hours per week)
You are a competent teacher with significant experience in the EFL and summer school industry. You will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation and administration of all aspects of the academic programme, which includes managing the academic staff and their performance. In addition to optimising our students’ academic programme and environment, you will also ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. Management, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential requirements for this position.
Our aim is to ensure our students make the most of their academic programme, and as Director of Studies, you will make this happen! Our staff are without doubt our most valuable asset, and our students frequently say the staff are one of the best things about their study holiday. We welcome new applicants but also value our returning staff, and to both we offer an attractive package that includes:
