We run junior summer courses for English language students aged between 9 - 18. We have students from all over the world, with the majority being Italian, but also including students from Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Cyprus. Students usually stay for two weeks and take part in a mixed programme of lessons and activities/excursions run by Activity Leaders.

Our Mission: At Target English International, we aim to provide our students with a comfortable and caring setting in the UK to improve their communication in English and develop skills for a more global society. We want our students to leave the course with a better understanding of UK culture and the inspiration to become life-long learners of English.

Overview of role:

  • Line Manager: Centre Manager
  • Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay
  • Dates: June to August
  • Hours: As required (typically 48 hours + per week - evening and weekend work required)

You are a competent manager with some experience in the EFL and summer school industry. You will have responsibility for delivering the activities programmes. Operational, management, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills are essential requirements for this position. Applicants should be highly motivated, outgoing, and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to lead a team of staff and work on their own initiative.

  • All gaps in employment history must be explained satisfactorily.
  • Proof of identity and right to work in the UK must be shown at interview.
  • Proof of identity and copies of qualification certificates must be sent to head office prior to starting work, and original copies must be taken to the centre.
  • Suitability checks (Enhanced DBS/PVG checks or overseas equivalent) will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
  • Staff will complete online Safeguarding and online Prevent training.
