A well-established and growing haulage company based in Gt Bromley is looking for experienced HGV 1 Drivers to join their professional team on Days or Night work, focusing on the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. The ideal candidate needs strong communication skills, a valid commercial driving license, and a commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating lorries to deliver goods on time
- Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good condition
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff
- Loading and unloading cargo securely
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Providing excellent customer service to clients
Required skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in driving various types of vehicles (flatbed lorries, vans)
- Experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driving license
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues and perform minor repairs
