A well-established and growing haulage company based in Gt Bromley is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their professional team on Days or Night work, focusing on the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. The ideal candidate needs strong communication skills, a valid commercial driving license, and a commitment to safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operating lorries to deliver goods on time
  • Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good condition
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff
  • Loading and unloading cargo securely
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients

Required skills:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in driving various types of vehicles (flatbed lorries, vans)
  • Experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driving license
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to identify vehicle issues and perform minor repairs
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work details:

  • 50 hours
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Pay: £37,698.85 per year Days
  • Pay: £43,698.85 per year Nights

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 licence
  • Current Driver CPC and Digi Card
  • Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience
  • No DD, DR or IN endorsements
