Target Catering Equipment is seeking a proactive and commercially focused Business Development Executive to drive the growth of our standard induction cooking range across the UK. The primary objective of this role is to increase sales by developing relationships with distributors, consultants, kitchen designers, contractors and end users, ensuring our induction equipment is specified into projects and selected as the preferred solution. This is a business-to-business sales role focused on generating opportunities, building relationships, developing the sales pipeline and converting opportunities into orders.

Someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and growing sales through both direct and indirect channels. The successful candidate will be ambitious, commercially minded and excited by the opportunity to play a key role in expanding Target's induction cooking business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth of Target's induction cooking range.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with distributors and dealer partners.
  • Promote products to catering consultants, kitchen designers and specifiers to secure project specifications.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with hospitality operators, education, healthcare and commercial foodservice businesses.
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity, networking and lead follow-up.
  • Prepare and follow up quotations and sales proposals.
  • Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to order placement.
  • Work towards agreed sales, pipeline and activity targets.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with customers, distributors and industry stakeholders.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations where required.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Act as a product champion for the induction range within the market.

Market Development

  • Identify new routes to market and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Work with the marketing team to support campaigns, case studies and promotional activities.
  • Provide market feedback to support product development and business growth.

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
  • Manage and report on sales pipeline activity.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and progress updates.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in B2B sales or business development.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to winning business.
  • Commercially aware and target driven.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities.

Desirable
