Tardis Environmental UK Ltd are a well-established portable toilet and tanker hire business that operate a large fleet of HGV and LGV vehicles across various locations situated throughout the UK. We hire temporary waste and water solutions from 1000ltr waste and water storage tanks up to 30,000ltr storage tanks. Currently members of FORS and hold Gold accreditation.

We are currently looking to recruit a General Administration Assistant (HR Department) based at our Telford Depot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a busy team. This role sits within our HR department, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in HR and administration.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative functions, supporting management, and helping maintain high operational standards.

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm

Salary: £28,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support across all areas of the HR department
  • Produce and update reports, trackers, and management information
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including new starters and leavers
  • Input and manage employee data on internal systems
  • Handle queries efficiently, ensuring timely resolution
  • Support daily admin tasks, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Liaise with managers to ensure emails and communications are responded to promptly
  • Attend meetings, take detailed minutes, and track follow-up actions
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple departments
  • Check and verify documentation for accuracy and completion
  • Carry out reference checks for new employees
  • Liaise with external bodies where required
  • Support tracking of disciplinary processes and investigations
  • Assist with monitoring sickness and absence in line with company policy
  • Be first point of contact for recruitment activity, booking interviews, sending offer letters etc.
