The Role Area Manager
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager within the Transport sector (CPC qualified) to oversee multiple satellite depots across the UK.
Based at our Telford depot, this role involves regular travel, site audits, and overnight stays (all expenses covered). You will play a key role in transport compliance, fleet management, and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multi-site depot operations within a busy transport environment
- Leading teams across HGV / LGV fleet operations
- Conducting audits and ensuring full compliance
- Overseeing driver compliance, tachographs, and working time regulations
- Managing health & safety, fleet efficiency, and HR processes
- Driving continuous improvements in logistics performance and service delivery
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and customers
About You Candidate Requirements
Were looking for a results-driven professional with strong experience in transport management and operations.
Essential skills & experience:
- Transport Manager CPC (essential)
- Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management (HGV/LGV)
- Knowledge of transport compliance, DVSA regulations, and FORS standards
- Strong people management and depot leadership skills
- Proficient in Excel and transport management systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities under pressure
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
