Our client, a well-established organisation within the aviation maintenance sector, is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Shop Technician to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with a background in hydraulic aviation components to work within a quality-driven and safety-focused environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the testing, repair, and overhaul of a range of hydraulic aviation components while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer manuals, industry regulations, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out testing, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic aviation components.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret technical manuals and accurately record inspection findings.
- Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to support customer quotations and estimates.
- Assist with developing new workshop capabilities and improving operational efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and legally compliant working environment.
- Support wider workshop operations as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a hydraulic aviation environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of aircraft component maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes.
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145 requirements.
- Experience using Skydrol and hydraulic oil rigs.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and workshop/business systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Safety-conscious approach with a high standard of workmanship.
