If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Service Engineer to join our growing Stansted operation, supporting the maintenance and repair of commercial aircraft engines. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to work closely with leading engine OEMs, supporting complex engine maintenance programmes while ensuring the highest standards of technical compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support
- Liaise directly with Engine OEMs to resolve technical issues and manage technical support requests, including CSC cases, Technical Variances, and equivalent submissions.
- Interpret deviation requests and repair schemes, communicating requirements effectively to workshop teams for implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to shop floor technicians, ensuring smooth and efficient maintenance and repair activities.
- Workscope Development
- Support the Planning Department by creating detailed work instructions aligned with customer maintenance requirements.
- Assist in the development of engine maintenance and repair workscopes, including LLP replacements, repairs, and overhauls.
- Support the Commercial Department with the assessment and quotation of new work packages, identifying tooling, material, and labour requirements.
- OEM Documentation Management
- Review and manage OEM documentation updates, including Engine Manuals, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs).
- Ensure all required resources, procedures, and tooling are available to facilitate the implementation of technical changes.
- Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Workshop, Safety & Compliance, Planning, Commercial, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless delivery of technical services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices and procedures.
- Support the business in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience within commercial aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environments.
- Strong understanding of engine OEM documentation, maintenance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience liaising with OEM technical support teams and managing technical queries and deviations.
- Previous experience developing maintenance workscopes and technical instructions.
