Our client is currently seeking a knowledgeable and detail-driven Export Compliance Specialist to support our global trade compliance operations. Suitable candidates will have a strong technical understanding, regulatory awareness, and the ability to accurately classify parts and components with international export laws. This role ensures that all export activities align with U.S., U.K., and EU regulations while supporting internal teams with expert guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign appropriate ECCN, Military List (ML), and HTS codes to products, components, and technical data.
- Conduct and interpret Denied Party Screenings and third-party screening processes to ensure compliance with global sanctions and restricted-party requirements.
- Support and manage tariff applications, ensuring accurate classification and proper duty assessments.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical data to determine export classifications and regulatory obligations.
- Apply and maintain compliance with U.S., U.K., and EU export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and other applicable regimes.
- Collaborate with engineering, logistics, sales, and legal teams to ensure compliant export operations.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience within a similar capacity.
- Experience assigning ECCN, ML, and HTS codes for a range of products and technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with U.S., U.K., and EU trade regulations and export controls.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally.
