A leading UK rotary aviation company with over 40 years of experience is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Head of Safety & Compliance to join its team at Biggin Hill Airport. This senior role is pivotal in shaping and maintaining a robust safety culture across all operational and training activities, ensuring full regulatory compliance and promoting a strong Safety Management System throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Safety & Compliance Department.
- Develop and oversee audit plans, including internal audits and audits of sub-contractors.
- Monitor, manage, and report on audit findings and compliance performance data.
- Provide expert advice on CAA and EASA compliance matters across the company.
- Lead safety investigations and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage hazard identification, risk assessments, and Safety Performance Indicators.
- Champion a safety-first culture at all levels of the organisation.
- Develop and deliver relevant safety training programmes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in safety and compliance leadership within aviation.
- Strong knowledge of CAA/EASA regulations and management systems.
- Trained auditor and safety investigator.
- Proficient in Centrik.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Located within commuting distance of Biggin Hill or willing to relocate.
