TARCG is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity on behalf of a leading UK rotary aviation organisation. We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Maintenance to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is a UK CAA Nominated Post Holder position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and Accountable Manager.
The successful candidate will lead the Engineering Department, ensuring the compliant, efficient maintenance and repair of Leonardo, Airbus, Bell, and Sikorsky helicopters. You will manage and mentor Base Managers, overseeing Planning and Logistics teams to ensure effective task prioritisation, continuous improvement, and regulatory excellence. This is a people-first leadership role requiring exceptional communication and operational planning skills. You’ll act as the primary maintenance contact for clients and regulators, upholding the organisation’s high standards and strong industry relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with Part 145 and all relevant aviation regulations.
- Lead and develop cross-functional maintenance teams.
- Maintain and manage the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
- Support and embed Safety Management System (SMS) practices.
- Oversee planning to ensure adequate staffing, tooling, and resources.
- Maintain client satisfaction and support strategic business objectives.
- UK CAA Nominated Post Holder eligibility.
- Part 66 B1.3, B2, or Cat C licence with leadership experience in rotary MRO.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and SMS frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change.
- Excellent people, planning, and communication skills.
