We are seeking a B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our client's Line or Heavies Engineering Team based in Scotland. Reporting to the Chief Engineer and under the day-to-day supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the position holder will be required to perform line maintenance on various Company aircraft types.
Responsibilities:
- Perform, certify, and carry out aircraft maintenance – Scheduled Maintenance Inspections, MODS, and defect rectification.
- Maintain acceptable airworthiness and maintenance standards.
- Issue certifications within the scope of authorisation.
- Report on incidents or lapses in quality involving aircraft staff, material, plant, tools, equipment, premises, or facilities.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- CAA B1.3 Licence (consideration may be given to candidates holding an A Licence).
Experience:
- Relevant experience and time on helicopters.
- Experience on the AW189 / S92 is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent adaptable team worker, with good work and safety ethics.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a small team.
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
- Numerical skills.
- Motivated to provide a high standard of work.
- Ability to consider the effects of their actions on both the Department and the Company as a whole.
- Demonstrate integrity in all aspects.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
Shift pattern: “4 days on / 4 days off / 6 days on / 4 days off / 4 days on / 6 days off”, working 11 hours per day (including 30‑minute break), with opportunity to discuss a 14/14 shift pattern.
Salary and Benefits:
- Very competitive base salary (please enquire).
- Additional allowances for B2 License holders, dual B ratings, CAT 66 Part C, first type rating, and multi‑type rating.
- Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme (matched up to 9%), Accident and Life Cover.
- Bike and electric car scheme.
- 206 leave hours per year, in addition to rostered time off.
