Job Description

Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Location: Staffordshire

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 45 hours per week (flexibility required)

TARCG Aviation are currently looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to work with our client based in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft in an aviation environment and benefit from benefit from continuous improvement and personal development.


Responsibilities:


  • Carry out scheduled maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  • Perform general servicing to high engineering standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify aircraft defects quickly and safely.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with a variety of light aircraft, ensuring safety, airworthiness, and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in maintenance procedures, documentation, tooling, and workflow.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve safety standards.
  • Support occasional wider airfield duties such as aircraft refuelling and fire cover (training provided).
  • Be flexible to cover occasional unsociable hours when operational needs arise.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in general aviation aircraft maintenance (not airline or military).
  • Good working knowledge of light aircraft systems and servicing requirements.
  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to doing the job right first time.
  • Flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.
