We are currently recruiting for Female Support Worker to join our Support Services Team in Belfast! Do you have a passion for supporting others to live independently and confidently? Join our amazing team and make a real difference every day!
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- To provide Housing related support to assist clients live independently in the community. (This will not include personal care tasks).
- To be available to work at times appropriate to the changing needs of the client and for the efficient use of staff resources.
- To assist in the assessment of needs and risks as relevant to each Client and to assist to set and attain realistic and achievable targets.
- To monitor and record the client’s progress and support tasks delivered during shift.
- To provide a range of services appropriate to the individuals needs.
- To assist Clients develop the skills needed to attain, maintain and sustain stable tenancies.
- To promote Client involvement and active participation in the service.
- To work in a multi-agency manner with relevant professionals.
- To act as an advocate for Clients as appropriate.
What we need from you:
- Minimum of one years’ work experience, working within housing, social care or equivalent setting with vulnerable clients (Young People, Children or Adults).
- Knowledge of Safeguarding issues, practices, and procedures.
- Able to demonstrate good recording and reporting skills.
- Proven ability to effectively support and work as a member of a team.
- Good understanding of health & safety.
- Able to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy.
- Strong commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement and the delivery of best practice.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation, confidence and ability to use initiative.
- Good organisational skills.
- Able to be flexible on approach to work and adaptable to change.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- Full EU Driving Licence and access to a car.
