We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Armagh!
Job Summary
We are seeking a Health & Safety Officer who will provide practical, hands-on health and safety support across housing, care and supported living ensuring safe environments, legal compliance, and effective risk management in both NI and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support managers to identify, manage, and reduce risks associated with their work environments, including:
- Violence and aggression
- Lone working
- Fire safety and emergency planning
What We’re Looking For
- Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation in NI and ROI
- Experience in one or more of the following housing, healthcare, or mental health services
- Strong risk assessment and incident investigation skills
- Good organisational skills
- Experience in complex mental health housing or care settings
- Fire safety or manual handling qualification
- IOSH membership
