We are currently seeking an experienced Groundskeeper to maintain gardens and outdoor spaces to a high standard. This is a full-time role suited to someone with strong horticultural knowledge who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and takes pride in well-kept grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled gardener who is reliable, detail-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lawn care including grass cutting, edging, hedge trimming, and pruning
- Planting, turfing, seeding, and soil preparation
- General garden and grounds maintenance throughout the year
- Use and care of powered hand tools and light gardening equipment
- Maintaining the overall appearance and presentation of outdoor areas
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety requirements
- Working cooperatively with others when required
What We're Looking For:
- At least 1 year of hands-on gardening / grounds maintenance experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely and follow health & safety procedures
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture (or higher)
- Experience maintaining parks, open spaces or sports facilities
- Ability to operate light plant or ride-on machinery
