About the Role

Join a Swimming New Zealand Platinum Accredited Swim School! Bring your teaching skills and love of aquatics to provide effective swim tuition to the tamariki of our region. Instructors will deliver lessons for primary to intermediate aged school children.

Applicants will hold at least one of the following qualifications:

  • SNZ Assistant Swim Teacher Award
  • Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety
  • National Certificate in Recreation and Sport – Aquatics (Swim Education) Level 3
  • A current First Aid certificate

This is a term-time only, casual, and part-time role. Due to increasing participation, this vacancy will remain open until positions are filled. Apply early to avoid disappointment.

Location: Wai O Rua – Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford.

Starting salary: $23.50 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

About You

You are an enthusiastic educator who encourages others to succeed, delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for users.

You understand life-saving methods, including resuscitation, and have experience teaching school groups. A pool lifeguard practicing certificate and a swimming pool water treatment certificate are advantageous.
