About the Role

The Stratford District Council is looking for Casual Group Fitness Instructors to run group fitness programmes at Wai o Rua – Stratford Aquatic Centre.

This role will involve teaching scheduled classes, ensuring adequate warm up and cool down exercises and preparation of all appropriate equipment.

The salary range for the role starts at $31.20 per hour for a qualified instructor, however this will be discussed with the successful applicants based on the levels of experience and qualifcations. The role will be based at Wai o Rua – Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford.

About You

You will have a passion for health and fitness and previous instructor experience. You will be enthusiastic have a positive upbeat attitude to motivate our users. You will be able to work as part of a team but thrive as an individual leading a class.

You will have pre-choreographed group exercise level 3 or equivalent fitness qualification. Basic/intermediate computer skills and a pool lifeguarding certificate would be an advantage

All Aquatic Services roles are subject to a police reference check under the Vulnerable Children\’s Act 2014.
