We are recruiting an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a long-term, full-time position within a specialist SEND setting supporting secondary and post-16 pupils with complex needs. This school is based in Harrow and is looking for a brand new member of support to join their team on a full-time basis.

School times are typically 8:45am to 3:45pm finish with some early finishes. Monday to Friday.

The initial weekly rate for this post is £450-£505. This will increase significantly after 12 weeks due to AWR law. We pay our candidate via PAYE, not Umbrella (unless preferred) which means you take the fullest part of your weekly earnings, we cover the cost of National Insurance.

This is a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role supporting a secondary-aged pupil who is working academically at a Primary and Early Years level, with a strong emphasis on Autism support. The school is seeking an LSA with the confidence, experience, and specialist understanding to adapt learning appropriately while maintaining structure and consistency.

The Pupil & Role Focus

The Learning Support Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Delivering highly individualised support

Who This Role Is For

  • Has certified experience within SEND, Autism, or Learning Support
  • Has worked across Early Years and/or Primary settings, particularly with Autism
  • Understands how to adapt learning for pupils working below age-related expectations
  • Is patient, emotionally intelligent, and highly consistent in their approach
  • Willing to undergo training and be part of development learning at the school for professional development
  • Experience as an LSA, SEN TA, Autism Support Worker, or similar role is essential for this position.

Requirements

  • Certified experience within SEND / Autism / Learning Support
  • 2 years of professional references
  • Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term role
  • Availability to start as soon as possible
