TAQA has a Supply Chain - Summer Student vacancy in the Aberdeen office. Role Duration - 12 weeks contract - Commencing June 2026. Reporting to - Supply Chain Manager. This position will be employed on a contractor basis via an employment agency. - Compressed Working Week (CWW): TAQA offers onshore employees and contractors a Compressed Working Week (CWW) in order to help achieve a healthy work-life balance. The CWW is an arrangement where employees and contractors work a standard two-week work period (10 days) over a compressed period of 9 working days. The 10th day in the second week of the CWW period is known as 'Flex Friday', a non-working day.
Basic Purpose of the Role
As a placement student within TAQA’s Supply Chain function, the role provides hands-on exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes, systems, and governance, developing practical capability in tendering, contract administration, supplier engagement, and performance management over a structured 12-week placement.
General Responsibilities
- Contracting & Procurement Support: Provide support in the preparation, collation, and maintenance of contracting and procurement documentation. This includes working with contract registers, supporting governance and approval processes, and contributing to tender and contracting activities across decommissioning and operational scopes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of internal and external supply chain meetings and workshops. Responsibilities include development of presentation materials, tracking action logs, and supporting alignment with procurement and contracting timelines. Support the maintenance of risk registers, non-compliance registers, and contractor assurance documentation in line with TAQA’s Contractor Workscope Risk Management Procedure. Participate in the tender processes, supporting the development of evaluation models, scoring sheets, clarification logs, and award recommendation documentation for internal and external approval.
- Contract Management Support: Support the drafting and administration of contracts and purchase orders in line with company governance requirements. Assist with contract change management processes, including variations, amendments, and supporting approvals. Maintain accurate supply chain records, trackers, and document registers to ensure audit readiness. Support supplier onboarding and pre-qualification activities, including due diligence and compliance checks. Contribute to supplier performance management processes, including attending performance management meetings, KPI tracking and review pack preparation. Assist in market intelligence gathering, including supplier capability assessments and rate benchmarking.
