TAQA requires HSE Representatives (HSER) to support the 2026 offshore Engineering Preparation Removal and Disposal (EPRD) campaign schedule, which comprises three major decommissioning activities from CSVs (Construction Support Vessels) across three of TAQA’s disembarked assets. Activity levels increase significantly from March through late autumn, with varying durations and Personnel on Board (POB) levels driving the need for robust leadership.

TAQA requires candidates who can provide strong, safety-focused oversight across these complex work scopes. Roles will operate on an equal-time rota, with flexibility required to respond to operational needs. Some onshore working will also be expected during the onboarding phase to ensure alignment with project specific systems, processes, and campaign schedule.

The rate for these short-term contracts (typically 3–6 months) is competitive, reflecting the specialist expertise and leadership required for successful delivery of these critical EPRD operations.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The EPRD Health, Environment and Safety Representative will form part of the EPRD TAQA vessel team, responsible for oversight and auditing of platform preparation activities by the removal contractor from their construction support vessel. They will promote and ensure safe and environmentally responsible working practices in compliance with Project standards and procedures, relevant regulatory requirements and bridging documentation. They will be responsible for environmental and site safety performance monitoring and reporting, incident reporting, and interfacing with the onshore TAQA HSE team. They will work alongside the removal contractors Safety Officer and report directly to the EPRD OIM. They will also participate in any investigations relating to incidents that occur on TAQA assets or vessels working within TAQA 500m zones. This role may be required to work nightshift to ensure a correct balance of supervision on site during the campaign.

  • Support the EPRD OIM and deputy OIM.
  • Review of activities that require environmental permits to validate compliance with permit conditions, controls, and reporting.
  • Participating or leading in incident investigations.
  • Completion of vessel preparation Safety Case related performance standard checks as required.
