We're looking for a hands-on Analytics Engineer for our next phase of growth. You’ll design, build and maintain dbt models that teams from across the business — from Finance to Product to Markets — rely on to make decisions. As well as owning your set of domain models, you'll take on high-priority special data projects: the thorny, cross-functional problems that don't sit neatly inside one team and need someone who can dig in from first principles and deliver. If you love working in dbt, untangling messy problems, and seeing your work drive real decisions, this is the role for you.
You will report to our Head of Data, partnering closely with teams including Finance, Compliance, Treasury, Product, Data Engineering and Markets. The role is full-time — we're open to individuals in one of the following hubs: London, Dubai or NYC.
Key responsibilities
- Own dbt models end-to-end — design, build and maintain the models in your domain, with the tests, documentation and schema coverage that keep them reliable and performant at scale.
- Lead special data projects — take on high-priority, cross-functional problems that span Finance, Compliance, Product and Markets, digging in from first principles to deliver trusted answers, owning problems end-to-end.
- Partner with teams across the business — from Product to Markets to Engineering – to ensure their domains are modelled correctly.
- Support business critical Finance and Compliance reporting — delivering the datasets behind month-end close and audit requests, and building the pipelines that make each cycle faster.
- Keep data trustworthy — build the tests, checks and alerts that surface issues before they become incidents.
- Use AI effectively — apply AI tools and agents across the modelling lifecycle, from accelerating dbt development to improving data quality.
- Contribute to our analytics community — peer-review code, share knowledge at weekly meetups, and help answer data questions from across the business.
You have
- 4+ years in a data role (Analytics Engineering and/or Data Science)
- Strong SQL skills, and comfortable working with large, complex datasets in dbt
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with modern BI tools (e.g. Looker, Mode etc.) and what it takes to enable real self-serve
- Detail-oriented and pragmatic, with a 'no task too small' attitude
- The right to work in the UK, UAE or US
Nice to have
- Experience in a high-pace context — e.g. startup or scale-up
- Experience with Python and/or R
- Experience leading cross-functional projects, or those involving big data
