We’re building the world’s leading cross-border fintech for emerging markets - empowering families, fueling local economies, and changing how millions access financial services. Since our launch in 2019, we have transformed how money moves across borders with our operations spanning 6 out of 7 continents and covering both the busiest and most underserved remittance corridors. We tapped into a massive shift - from banks to phones - bringing digital finance to places where traditional systems never reached.

The next stage of growth will fuel a network of services and products especially designed to make money more accessible to diaspora communities including local cards, and additional savings and payments features. We’re growing fast, backed by world-class investors, and scaling a product that blends real world impact with cutting edge fintech innovation.

We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-obsessed Legal Assistant to strengthen the operational engine of our legal team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you’ll keep our contracts, files, and processes running smoothly, coordinate signature, apostille and notarisations from start to finish. You will take a confident first pass at the high-volume, lower-risk agreements that keep the business moving. You’ll work alongside our lawyers on everything from corporate housekeeping to NDAs to vendor contracts and you will be the person who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. It’s a role with real scope to grow as you take on more and learn the business.

Location: London (preferred) / Brussels / Paris

What you’ll do:

  • Support the legal team across whatever comes up. Be the team’s go-to for day-to-day execution. Turn tasks around quickly and chase the things that need chasing.
  • Keep legal files and operations organised. Own how the team stores and finds its work: sensible folder structures and naming conventions, clean version control, and well-maintained trackers and databases (contract registers, signature logs, entity and renewal records).
  • Coordinate signature, notarisation, apostille, and legalisation. Prepare signature pages and execution copies, run documents through e-signature, and manage in-person signings with our executive team, notarisation, apostille, and legalisation across jurisdictions, tracking each one to completion and keeping fully executed originals and copies properly filed.
  • Take a first pass at high-volume agreements. Review straightforward contracts, order forms, NDAs, and the like against our templates and playbook. Make standard edits, flag anything that deviates, and escalate what needs a lawyer’s eye.
  • Support corporate, governance, and broader legal work. Help with corporate secretarial and governance housekeeping, manage legal deadlines and renewals, liaise with external counsel and handle their engagement and invoices.
  • Help build the tools and systems that make legal fast. Improve the team’s templates, workflows, and databases, and help adopt legal tech and AI tools that make the function quicker and more consistent.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a legal operations / administration role, ideally with some exposure to commercial contracts.
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail. You have a system for everything and nothing slips through the cracks, even when you’re juggling many things at once.
  • Confident with documents and process: signature and execution workflows, e-signature tools, and notarisation, apostille, legalisation processes, or the ability to get up to speed fast.
  • Preferably you have had exposure to commercial contracts work.
  • Comfortable with legal and productivity tech. You understand document management, spreadsheets and databases, contract tools and are keen to adopt AI tools to work smarter.
  • An exceptional communicator who can explain legal and administrative points clearly to non-lawyers.
  • Trustworthy with confidential information, exercising sound judgement about what to handle and what to escalate.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace; a self-starter who moves quickly without letting quality slip.
  • Fluent in English.

Also you are:

  • Outgoing - you love speaking to people and enjoy building meaningful relationships.
  • Execution Oriented - we have an ‘impact first’ philosophy and a lot to get done. You should be able to take an idea to implementation.
  • Mission Oriented - you are passionate about working for a net positive organisation / tech for good.
  • Organised - you have a system for how you approach your work that can keep you on track in a scrappy startup environment.
  • Driven - you thrive in a fast-paced, target oriented company.
