The Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on Analytics Engineer to power our next phase of growth. You will build and own production dbt models that feed financial reporting and drive product decisions across our core remittance business and new product launches. You’ll work closely with Finance Analytics, Data Engineering, Treasury, Product, and Markets teams to deliver high‑quality, reliable data models.
The Role is full‑time and open in London or NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Own dbt models end‑to‑end — design, build, and maintain the models in your domain, ensuring tests, documentation, and schema coverage keep them reliable and performant at scale.
- Drive product launch analytics — act as the data partner to product and commercial teams, model commercials correctly from day one, and report on the performance of each bet.
- Automate reconciliation at scale — build frameworks that compare our numbers against third‑party data across core and new launches.
- Support finance and compliance reporting — deliver datasets for month‑end close and audit requests, and build pipelines that speed each cycle.
- Use AI effectively — apply AI tools and agents across the modelling lifecycle to accelerate dbt development and improve data quality.
- Contribute to our analytics community — peer‑review code, share knowledge at weekly meetups, and rotate on the analytics first‑responder rota answering data questions from the business.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in an analytical or analytics engineering role.
- Strong SQL skills, comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode) and enabling self‑serve.
- Detail‑oriented, pragmatic, with a "no task too small" attitude.
- Right to work in the UK.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a high‑pace context such as a startup or scale‑up.
- Experience with dbt, Python, and/or R.
- Experience partnering with finance teams — you speak their language or are eager to learn it.
