We are looking for an exceptional leader to further develop our homelessness service in collaboration with strategic partners. The service is responsible for providing temporary accommodation to people assessed as homeless and in need of support. In meeting statutory and budgetary compliance, there is a requirement to work closely with social housing providers and other organisations. This is a high profile rewarding role offering an opportunity to develop and improve the service offered to those experiencing homelessness.
Essential:
- Degree (or diploma) in a social science, public policy subject or related discipline
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Housing
- A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
