Job Details

  • Grade: CS0-5
  • Salary: Β£3,493.80 - Β£5,261.40 per annum
  • Hours: 3.5 per week
  • Contract Duration: Temporary secondment cover until 16/08/2026 or earlier return of the post holder

Teachers applying for posts should be fully registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland. Please note the interviews will be held on 4th December.

Role Purpose

  • Teach assigned class together with associated preparation and correction
  • Play a part in developing school curriculum as appropriate to the School Improvement Plan and other identified areas
  • Assess, record and report on the work of pupils
  • Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education
  • Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils
  • Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals
  • Undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
  • Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual pupil review
  • Contribute to community and corporate aspects of school life

Essential

  • A degree (B.Ed/PGCE/PGDE) or Diploma in Primary Teaching
  • Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (or an assurance that full registration will be forthcoming)
