We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker / Care Manager to join our forward-thinking Adult Social Work Team within a local authority committed to delivering high-quality services. As part of a dynamic multi-agency team, you will play a key role in case management and our duty system while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who need our support through assessment, plans and reviews. You will also become a Council Officer and will lead on Adult Support and Protection case work with oversight from our Adult Protection Unit.

  • Hourly Rate: £23.90 - £25.81
  • Salary: £37,400.62 - £40,388.41 per annum

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to work within a statutory framework
  • Experience of outcomes-focused approach to assessment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Clear value base that includes an understanding of non-stigmatising and non-discriminatory practice
  • Awareness of issues relating to older people, adults with disabilities, mental health, people at risk of harm and those at risk of social exclusion
  • Negotiation skills and ability to work in partnership with service users, carers, colleagues and other agencies
  • Experience of risk assessments
