Primary Purpose: Reporting to Vice President, Global Procurement, the Manager, Procurement is responsible for executing the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for the Europe businesses across all indirect categories in support of Tapestry\’s objectives.
With the support of category leaders and in collaboration with regional and global business functions, the Manager will implement strategic sourcing and supplier engagement activities including spend analysis, contract analysis, competitive bid development and evaluation, negotiations, supplier relationship building and rationalization for regional solutions and services.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Procurement to:
- Build strong alignment with regional business stakeholders and Finance partners in identifying supplier and financial opportunities, benefits and overall business value
- Collaborate with regional and global business stakeholders to investigate opportunities for synergies and rationalisation of spend and suppliers
- Manage the forecast and delivery of savings targets in support of organisational commitments and goals
- Negotiate agreements
- Develop and implement contracts with suppliers, inclusive of reviewing and redlining contracts, statements of work, and End User License Agreements, with the support of the Legal team
- Support strategic projects, on regional and global scale (e.g. enterprise implementations and integrations, new solution rollouts)
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies and frameworks, in accordance with Tapestry\’s global policies
- Ensure the early involvement of procurement and usage of preferred vendors and guidance on procurement strategies and frameworks, in accordance with Tapestry\’s global policies and procedures
The accomplished individual will possess:
- Strong knowledge in sourcing processes, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier management and technology utilisation
- Knowledge of legal terms and definitions associated with legal contracts, terms and conditions
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Sharp negotiation skills – must be able to effectively evaluate fluid conditions and maximize the businesses position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, efficient, autonomous and professional aptitude in the prioritisation and execution of activities with various degrees of complexity
- Previous experience with e-procurement and spend reporting/analytics systems is preferred
- Experience leading and influencing individuals and teams
- Extensive experience in sourcing and contract/terms negotiations
- Experienced working in a matrix environment or in a global, multi-cultural cross-functional team
