Primary Purpose: The Manager of Inventory Management for Coach Europe will lead the team to create, finalise, and execute the in-season Open-to-Buy (OTB) plan across Retail, Ecommerce, and Outlet channels. This role is instrumental in driving performance against sales and margin targets by optimising inventory across channels and maximising both pre-season and in-season stock. Reporting to the Tapestry Senior Director, Inventory Management & Allocation, the Manager will lead, develop and inspire a team of two, a Senior Inventory Management Planner and Inventory Management Planner.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Inventory Management to:
- Lead annual inventory management for Coach Europe
- Conduct monthly sales reforecast against OTB plans, supporting with the evaluation of business performance and update of sales, shipments, inventory, GM%, DR% targets, and stock turn
- Drive total Europe inventory optimisation in line with global targets to support delivery of the Coach Europe Annual Operating plan and facilitate inventory optimisation
- Maintain and publish seasonal OTB, including sales, gross margin, shipment, inventory turn and W.O.H targets at department/class level
- Manage the carryover vs seasonal inventory strategy (NOOS management) in-season trading, driving risk and opportunity discussions
- Determine optimal multi-brand DC fulfilment at the time of seasonal buys (utilising planning system and tools)
- Utilise planning system management and ensure deliverables are met by the team
- Partner with Coach Buying teams to drive movement of aged inventory through relevant channels and share timelines with the business
- Collate and present inventory overviews and weekly trade to Global and Leadership teams
- Partner closely with the Finance team to align on short and long-term sales, gross margin, and inventory targets; support the monthly planning process with the goal of collaborative alignment
The accomplished individual will possess:
- 4+ years’ experience in inventory management/merchandise planning
- Highly commercial, numerate and analytical, and familiar with demand planning processes; operates with a clear command of key financial drivers in driving a business
- Advanced computer skills in Excel and retail planning systems e.g. RPAS, Cora, SAP
- Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market
- Proven people management skills with the ability to effectively communicate, mentor and problem solve
- Organised and analytical with strong attention to detail
- Experience of working with a global company/brand
- Ability to manage own workload and effectively focus on multiple priorities
- Excellent collaborator with the desire to achieve team objectives and goals
- Experience working with European markets
