Primary Purpose: The Account Executive will support the strategic and operational execution of product launches, driving in‑season performance to achieve sales and margin targets while playing a key role in building and maintaining partner relationships within the Tapestry Marketplace channel. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Online Trading to:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Marketplace partners, specifically Zalando, and ensure consistent trade engagement and key KPI’s are met and exceeded.
- Support the Marketplace Manager with developing, maintaining and accelerating Marketplace platforms.
- Drive performance against sales and margin targets, while proactively identifying in‑season growth opportunities.
- Support the timely execution of new product launches across multiple Marketplace channels.
- Produce weekly trade reports and deliver actionable insights to guide trading decisions and drive growth.
- Collaborate with the Marketplace team to identify regional product opportunities and emerging market trends, consolidating insights to inform seasonal and core assortment strategies.
- Develop a strong understanding of products, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscapes within local markets, and share insights with key internal stakeholders to inform strategies.
- Collaborate with the Marketplace Manager and local Inventory Management team to identify and communicate business risks and opportunities related to product investment and inventory strategy.
- Partner with the Inventory Management team to ensure stock levels are optimised in alignment with upcoming promotional campaigns, marketing initiatives, and key trading periods.
- Liaise with Content & Marketing teams to ensure category and gender specific platform content is optimised within global brand guidelines, while supporting a marketing strategy aligned with investment priorities.
- Support efforts to maximise product visibility across sites.
- Support the weekly and monthly execution of onsite content, including homepage updates, category and navigation banners, and other key visual elements.
- Share monthly updates on new product arrivals and onsite launches to ensure alignment across teams and platforms.
- Assist in developing communication tools to highlight business assortment strategies and provide monthly and quarterly hindsight.
- Provide support to the Customer Service team by addressing retailer and customer queries as needed.
- Foster strong relationships and build trust with regional teams across Inventory Management & Planning, Buying, Finance, Ecommerce and Marketing.
The Accomplished Individual Will Possess:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a Marketplace business model, with a buying, merchandising or trading background.
- Direct experience with Zalando is essential.
- Knowledge of the luxury fashion or accessories market.
- Experience across multiple categories in a planning environment.
- Experience supporting European markets within a global brand or organisation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability with solid financial acumen and a clear understanding of key financial drivers.
- Creative problem-solver with strong strategic thinking and business judgment.
- Able to make sound decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to build effective global partnerships and collaborate successfully with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, capable of delivering key messages to senior leadership.
