Primary Purpose: The Manager, Accounting is an integral member of the Tapestry Europe General Accounting team and responsible for lease accounting and supporting transfer pricing and marketing accounting. Reporting to Senior Manager, Accounting, the Manager produces journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supports internal & external audits as required.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Accounting to:
- Own lease accounting for Tapestry’s Europe stores, collaborating closely with Business Development and Global Lease Accounting teams.
- Partner with the Accounting team to complete monthly changes to leases in the lease accounting tool (Tririga).
- Own key lease accounting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline.
- Manage the monthly marketing accrual journal in collaboration with FP&A.
- Liaise with the Global Transfer Pricing team to ensure transfer pricing and intercompany service fee journals are processed.
- Support the wider Finance Control team with ongoing projects and initiatives.
The accomplished individual will possess:
- Minimum of 3 years+ accounting experience at a multinational public company or major accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including extensive experience in lease accounting.
- Strong attention to detail, and organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and takes initiative.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking.
An outstanding professional will have:
- Retail lease accounting experience at a multinational public company.
- Experience using SAP, Tririga and Blackline.
