This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tapchanger Technician based in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. The Tapchanger Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment of various tapchanger types. This includes conducting equipment inspections, producing detailed condition reports, and recommending necessary maintenance actions. The technician will also provide on-site repair services, remove and rebuild defective units in our workshop when needed, and assist in re-installation and commissioning. Additional responsibilities may include providing technical support and hands-on training to customers.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, with specific experience in tapchanger systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics relevant to tapchanger operations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for on-site and workshop environments
  • Experience in performing routine maintenance and handling condition reporting for industrial equipment
  • Capability to train and provide technical support to customers or team members
