Key Accountabilities
- Perform daily restaurant setup, including cleaning, dusting, polishing, folding napkins, and preparing rubbish bins.
- Keep the pass section clean, organized, and stocked with crockery, cutlery, and condiments.
- Assist with stock counts, report shortages, and ensure adequate supplies for each shift.
- Ensure all food, crockery, and cutlery leaving the kitchen meet quality standards and are delivered timely to the correct tables.
- Manage special and group dining menu orders.
- Maintain and update the food bible and allergy chart.
- Know the menu well, including allergen substitutes.
- Attend pre-shift briefings and prepare for service, including private events.
- Communicate stock issues during briefings and manage stock levels on the POS system.
- Act as a communication link between kitchen and floor managers to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor and control breakages daily.
- Report repair and maintenance needs for POS systems and printers.
- Greet and farewell guests professionally and warmly.
- Train and equip Commis Waiters appropriately.
- Monitor team training and provide feedback to managers.
- Distribute duties among staff, ensuring timely and standard-compliant completion.
- Participate in training sessions and review training materials to enhance skills.
