My Client is a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in central Manchester. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Tax Advisory Manager to join their well-established and supportive tax team. As such, they are expanding their advisory function and are seeking someone with strong technical expertise and commercial awareness to help drive this forward. Clients range from sole traders and business start-ups to multi-million-pound limited companies and partnerships. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to take the next step in their career within a growing, supportive, and professional environment.
Requirements:
- Ideally CTA qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in practice.
- Tax advisory experience, particularly on issues impacting private clients and owner managed businesses.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to identify opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to the growth of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax advisory services to a wide range of clients, including owner managed Businesses (OMBs), SMEs, large corporates, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Support complex tax projects, such as corporate restructuring, share schemes, EIS/SEIS, remuneration planning, business exit and succession planning, inheritance tax planning and assistance with tax due diligence projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and key point of contact.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development and career progression.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation, ensuring you continue to provide proactive and informed advice to clients.
- Support business development initiatives, including attending networking events and contributing to marketing efforts.
- Manage WIP and the billing process.
