An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm.

This role would suit an individual with previous accounts or finance administration experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional services environment. Whilst experience within a legal accounts department would be advantageous, it is not essential, as full training can be provided to the right candidate.

The Role

  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting and finance administration duties
  • Processing client and office account transactions
  • Posting receipts and payments
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting credit control and accounts administration functions
  • Assisting with month-end procedures where required
  • Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions
  • Providing general administrative support to the accounts team

The Candidate

  • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Administrator or similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Professional and proactive approach
  • Experience within a legal environment or knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial but is not essential
