The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of the organisation's operational systems strategy, ensuring that technology enhancements, operational improvements and business change initiatives are delivered in a structured, commercially focused way. Working across multiple business functions, you'll lead a high-performing team while acting as the bridge between operational stakeholders, technical specialists and third-party technology partners. The successful individual will play a key role in building scalable operating models, driving continuous improvement and ensuring that technology supports exceptional customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the roadmap for operational systems, business change and process improvement.
- Lead cross-functional change initiatives from planning through to successful implementation.
- Manage and develop an internal operational technology team, providing leadership, coaching and clear prioritisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate manual processes and enhance customer experience.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into practical delivery plans.
- Ensure projects are prioritised based on commercial value, operational impact and business risk.
- Oversee relationships with external technology partners and suppliers, ensuring effective delivery and accountability.

About You
We're looking for an experienced operational leader who understands how technology can transform business performance. You'll bring:
- Experience leading operational change within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
- Strong experience working with insurance platforms, policy administration systems, CRM platforms and operational technology.
- Hands-on experience with one or more leading platforms such as Acturis, Instanda, Salesforce or SchemeServe, alongside an understanding of system integrations and operational workflows.
- Experience working alongside software development teams, managing delivery backlogs, releases and system enhancements.
- Experience working with third-party software providers and technology partners.
- A proven track record of delivering operational improvement, business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across the business.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to prioritise work based on business value, customer impact and operational risk.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused language.
Experience within a regulated industry would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
