Tank Recruitment have been engaged to recruit an Electrical Site Manager for one of our clients on a project in Exeter.
The role involves overseeing all electrical works on a 132 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project based in Exeter. This is a purely electrical scope - no civils involvement. You'll be responsible for managing on-site electrical operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality standards and programme delivery, and maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential requirements
- Electrical qualification City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regs) or equivalent - HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering an advantage
- SMSTS / CSCS black card
- Proven electrical site management experience
- BESS, renewables, or HV/LV infrastructure experience strongly preferred
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day electrical operations on site
- Coordinate and supervise electrical subcontractors
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Produce and review method statements and risk assessments
- Attend progress meetings and report to project management team
- Maintain site records, inspection and test documentation
- Liaise with client, DNO, and other stakeholders as required
